Happy February GCFS family!
I remember walking into a classroom one afternoon and witnessing two students and a teacher singing along and dancing to the Frozen’s sound track “Love Is An Open Door” and instantly realized it was the month of Valentine’s Day. What a special month to share love and to receive it in return. Though my door was inspired by the encounter of the song, I began to think about the meaning of it all. What does it mean when we sing, love is an open door? Most times, we find ourselves wondering will this person receive my love? Can I even share my love and take the risk of being vulnerable? I see Christ’s love in this Disney song. His love is just that simple. He is relentless and wants our hearts to be open to receive it. God is constantly knocking on the door of our hearts and the decision is ours whether we open it or not. GCFS, my prayer is that you won’t hesitate to open that door, but welcome Him in to do the work that only God can do in your hearts today. Love, Your Vice-Principal
